Darshan - Hindu HD Wallpapers · Last updated: October 6, 2026
Darshan ("the App") is a free wallpaper application that provides Hindu-themed HD wallpapers. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
You do not need an account or login to use the App. The App and its service providers process the following information:
In releases that offer this feature, Settings → Help improve Darshan lets you choose whether to send usage reports to our Supabase-hosted backend. It is off by default. You can browse, save and apply wallpapers without enabling it.
When enabled, reports include timestamps, app version and build, operating-system platform, screens visited, wallpaper and category IDs, visible-image counts, favorite/save/apply/share actions, action outcomes and durations, search result counts, session and return-day counts, and ad loading, display and paid-event values. Wallpaper and category IDs describe which devotional content you interact with; we do not use them to create a religious-belief profile.
The usage-report payload does not include search text, your favorites list, contact or account information, image URLs, raw error messages, advertising IDs or a persistent person or device identifier. A random ID identifies one event only so duplicate retries can be discarded. Ordinary network requests still expose an IP address to the hosting provider; a transient request limit uses it without storing it in the usage-event database.
Your device temporarily stores at most 100 unsent events, which expire after seven days. Return-day tracking uses local dates rather than an uploaded device ID. You can mark reports as testing so they are excluded from the default customer reports.
Turning reporting off stops future reporting, cancels pending uploads where possible, and removes unsent events and local return-day state. It does not retract reports already received. Changing tester mode also clears unsent events and resets return-day state. These choices do not grant or withdraw advertising consent.
The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
The App may request the following device permissions:
When optional reporting is available, usage events are kept for 90 days and removed by a daily cleanup job. A record can remain until the next daily cleanup. Hosting access logs, Sentry reports and Google's advertising data have separate retention settings and policies; the usage-event limit does not apply to those services.
Favorites remain on your device until you remove them or clear the App's storage. You can disable optional reporting in Settings. Contact us using the address below for privacy questions or deletion requests. Because usage events contain no persistent person or device ID, we cannot reliably locate an individual person's historical usage events from their email address; those events expire through the retention process.
The App uses HTTPS for its production API, images and usage-report uploads. Usage reports are available privately to the developer and service providers processing them on our behalf, not through a public dashboard. We do not sell these reports. Google processes advertising data under its own policies. Sharing a wallpaper through your device's share sheet sends the content to the app or recipient you choose.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
